Green Technology Park (GTP) Pekan, Pahang which will be built on an area of 410 acres.
This development consists of 5 phases with ancillary buildings and will take around 5 years (till 2020) for completion.
GTP includes projects in 5 main categories:

Green Technology Park

Pulp and Paper

Fertilizer

Animal Feed

R&D and Education

Renewable Energy
Phases | Development Involves |
1 | Phase 1 which is an on-going development, involves the construction and development of the below:
- Pulp and paper mill with production capacity of 10,000 metric tons of woodfree paper using the PRC RBMP Technology; and - Pulp and paper mill with production capacity of 5,000 metric tons of tissue paper using the PRC RBMP Technology. The production line is expected to be on-stream for production by year 2019 |
2 | Phase 2 involves the construction and development of the below: - Pulp and paper mill with production capacity of 100,000 metric tons of box liner paper using the PRC RBMP Technology; and - Pulp and paper mill with production capacity of 120,000 metric tons of corrugated paper using the PRC RBMP Technology. |
3 | Phase 3 involves the construction and development of pulp and paper mill with production capacity of 65,000 metric tons of tissue paper using the PRC RBMP Technology. |
4 | Phase 4 involves the construction and development of the below: - Feed mill with production capacity of 30,000 metric tons of agro-feed using the microbial fermentation technology; and - Fertiliser plant with production capacity of 50,000 metric tons of fertiliser using the by-products produced from the biogas plant. |
5 | Phase 5, which has been earmarked for light industries, involves the construction and development of packaging and printing factories. The Renewable Paper Pulp Products produced in GTP Pekan such as wood free paper, tissue paper, corrugated paper and box liner paper can be used for the packaging and printing industries. |
NextGreen Pulp & Paper
NextGreen Pulp & Paper Sdn Bhd. is a pulp and paper manufacturer. PRC-RBMP patented technology is used to produce pulp and paper using EFB. By-products from the process will be converted into other potential products that can be commercialised. For example: lignin extraction for industrial adhesive.
